This product has been cut and polished on one side only. [To allow you to study the natural contour of the steel.] The number recorded into the company files ready to enter the owner name alongside.
The ‘First Class’ piece is machined, pot-scrubbed, cleaned and then sent to the paint shop where it is lacquered and cured.
The piece is then inspected for flaws and finally packaged in a lovely small black box, enveloped in black silk, complete with a full history of the piece, including the registration card, its number and location where the rail piece was operative.

These pieces can again be from many different branch railways, the difference from First Class being that they have both sides polished, and come coated with one of several different coverings dependant purely on client request. Although slightly dearer chrome/silver or nickel looks absolutely magnificent.
They are packaged like the first class peice.

The "King-E" piece. Rail sourced from either Otago or Southland. Small, [8.5cm high] highly polished, printing client design, logo's etc any font, with buff coloured label, showing details of history of rail piece. Presented in silk lined black box with client label.

The "Central Shadow" Sourced from Otago Branch Railway. Stands just over 10cm high. Also available coated in chrome [very popular] Any design, font etc. Similar packaging as King-E. Ideal presentation and awards. Manufactured in Middleborough, UK in 1905.
